Camako’s portfolio management functionality gives you an up-to-date picture of your organisation’s project portfolios and individual projects. The system constructs portfolio views automatically on the basis of the project category variables. Users can also put together their own portfolios.
The portfolio management views are based on the projects’ planning and actuals data (incl. schedules, costs and resources) as well as a uniform measuring system. The monitoring view allows you to examine a portfolio’s cost and resource data as well as up-to-date information about the projects’ key indicators.
Visual views ensure that all the necessary information is clearly visible. The management team can quickly understand the essential information required in decision making and can react to problems where necessary.
Camako EPM’s resources management function guarantees that a project is allocated the right expertise at the various stages of its life cycle. The functionalities support the project also in change management.
The resource management function supports three key roles: the project manager, line supervisor and project member. Each role has a specific view. The project manager determines the resource requirements for a project and sends a request for resources to the line organisation for confirmation. The line supervisor can see people, load level and available capacity, and can use this information to process the resource requests received.
Project members can see their personal resource reservations in their view. They may also be given permission to update their own resource reservations.
The resource management process can be adopted and customised to meet the customer’s requirements.
